Meet the Biltons removals fleet
Every move is different, which is why we’ve built a versatile two-van fleet that gives us the flexibility to tackle everything from smaller moves and single-item collections to full family homes and larger relocations.
Our fleet consists of a large Citroën Relay Luton with wide-opening rear double doors and a Volkswagen Crafter Luton equipped with a hydraulic tail lift. Each van brings something different to the job, allowing us to choose the vehicle best suited to your move — or use both vans together when additional capacity is required.
Both vehicles are professionally sign-written, fully equipped for removals and carry the protective equipment needed to look after your belongings throughout the journey.

Citroën Relay
Our Citroën Relay Luton is the larger of our two removal vans, giving us the extra space required for substantial house moves and high-volume loads.
Citroën’s own Luton specifications show just how capable the Relay platform can be: its Ready-to-Run Luton conversions were offered with approximately 15.4m³ to 17m³ of load volume, depending on L3 or L4 configuration, with conversion bodies up to approximately 4.1 metres long.Â
Our Relay has double opening rear doors rather than a tail lift, giving our team a large, straightforward loading opening and making it particularly effective when we’re loading significant quantities of household furniture and boxes.
For larger moves, the Relay can be used as our primary vehicle, while for particularly substantial removals we can deploy both the Relay and Crafter together, giving us the flexibility and capacity to tackle much bigger jobs.

Volkswagen Crafter
Our Volkswagen Crafter Luton is the smaller of our two removal vehicles, making it an incredibly versatile part of the Biltons Removals fleet. Volkswagen describes the Crafter Luton as being designed specifically for demanding load-carrying work, with uprated suspension and load-restraint features incorporated into Luton versions.Â
Ours is equipped with a hydraulic tail lift, making it particularly useful when handling heavier or awkward items such as washing machines, American-style fridge freezers, large cabinets and bulky furniture. Volkswagen’s factory Luton specification can be equipped with a 500kg Palfinger tail lift, demonstrating exactly why this type of vehicle is so useful for removals.Â
Being the more compact of our two vans also makes the Crafter a great choice where access, narrow streets or restricted parking need to be considered.
Why choose our two-van service?
For larger family homes with three or more bedrooms, using both of our removal vans can make moving day considerably quicker, smoother and more efficient.
Our larger Citroën Relay Luton can take the bulk of your household furniture, boxes and belongings, while our Volkswagen Crafter Luton with tail lift provides valuable additional capacity and makes handling heavier or more awkward items easier.
The second van is also ideal for everything that can easily get overlooked when estimating a house move — the contents of your garage, shed, outbuilding or summer house, along with garden furniture, tools, outdoor equipment, bikes and other bulky items.
By having both vehicles available, we can load more in one go, reduce the risk of additional journeys and keep your move running efficiently from collection through to your new home.
